NP Spotlight: Post-Session Wrap-Up (May 24 Event)
NP Spotlight is a regular (weekly-ish) feature providing updates on local and statewide legislation and governance, links to significant information, and general news about Northland Progress.
The 2017 session of the Missouri General Assembly came to a dramatic close on Friday, May 12, and the consequences of the legislature’s actions (and inactions) will be felt statewide. Over the last several months, we have tried to provide a regular weekly update on what’s happening in Jefferson City (as well as locally) in the NP Spotlight, but this week we want to encourage our readers, followers and members to attend “MO Sessions, MO Problems” on May 24. That evening, NP will provide a recap on everything that happened during the session – including how Northland legislators voted on important issues – and welcome State Auditor Nicole Galloway to talk about the need for ethics reform. We will also provide a brief overview of what NP is and how we’re working for progress, and publicly announce NP’s exciting plans for the coming months. If you haven’t already, please RSVP for the event on Facebook. Hope to see you there!
